New Houseboat Feature at 2009 Louisville Boat, RV & Sportshow!

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) is excited to announce a new houseboat-specific feature that will launch at the 2009 Louisville Boat, RV & Sport Show.

Dock Dogs - Big Air Dogs® and Extreme Vertical® Competition

DockDogs is a dog performance sport that is growing by leaps and bounds! Canine competitors run down a 40-foot dock and jump into a 40-ft long pool of 4-foot-deep water. DockDogs is sure to make a big splash at the show!

BASS TUBS of Oklahoma Fishing Demonstration

Professional angler and host of "The Outdoors to You," Chuck Devereaux, will conduct daily fishing demonstrations in the Bass Tub, a 50-foot, 5,000 gallon glass tank stocked with native Kentucky game fish, including various types of bass, perch, crappie and catfish. Fish are provided by the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife.


Boating & Fishing Seminars

Fishing seminars, hosted by anglers Kevin Wirth (sponsored by Early Times), Chuck Devereaux, Randell Gibson and Eddie Goode will include hands-on demonstrations in casting, baiting and other fishing techniques that will get you out on the water and fishing like a pro.

Learn the basics of boating care from Tim McDaniel, Greg Loeser and Guy Voyles. They'll share "tricks of the trade" to keep your boat running, including information on routine checks; what to keep on board; and emergency repairs that will get you home in a pinch.

Casting Kids

FREE for children ages 7–14. Kids will learn a variety of casting methods and can enter daily competitions. The competitor with the highest total score in each age group wins a medal, competition rod and reel, and an invitation to the CastingKids State Championship.

The Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife (located in the Take Me Fishing Center) is your one-stop shop for all the licenses you'll need this summer.


NEW! Take Me Fishing Center

Reel fun for everyone, from aspiring anglers to full-blown fishing fanatics! This interactive exhibit features hands-on activities, presentations and demonstrations that will give you the know-how to get started or improve your fishing skills.


Boater's World $1,000 Giveaway

Kids Adventure Trail

Travel throughout the show with your kids as they follow the Adventure Trail Map and complete fun activities at each stop. Kids will get a stamp on their map for each activity completed; after all stamps have been collected, head to the Kids Playland for a free prize! Look for the Kids' Adventure Trail Map in the Show Directory.


Cornhole Tournament this Saturday, January 31st!
