Free course on responsible boating offered by the Kentucky Department of Fishing & Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) on Saturday, January 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

KDFWR requests a $2.00 donation per customer for game participation. Proceeds will support KDFWR Summer Conservation Camp Program @ Camp John Currie (Kentucky Lake), Camp Earl Wallace (Lake Cumberland) and Camp Robert C. Webb (Grayson Lake). Camps are open to all Kentucky students who are in grades 4-6 and help them to stay in touch with nature and the outdoors.

Meet Tim Farmer—Fans of the Kentucky Afield television show will have a unique opportunity to meet host Tim Farmer. Farmer, who hosts the popular outdoor program on Kentucky Educational Television (KET) for the Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, has been taking viewers “across the Commonwealth in search of outdoor adventure” for over a decade. Show watchers can meet and talk with Farmer between 7 to 7:30 p.m. Friday and from 11 to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Department of Fish and Wildlife’s booth.

This 50-foot long, 5,000 gallon aquarium is stocked with native Kentucky game fish, including bass, perch, crappie and catfish provided by the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife.
